Prunus domestica ‘Opal’ heeft een vrucht die klein en rond is, geel met paars. Vruchtvlees is geelgroen, sappig en heeft een heerlijke smaak. Oogst-/pluktijd juli-augustus. De pruim is 3 weken houdbaar. Wordt bestoven door ‘Victoria’ en ‘Anna Spath’. Is ook zelfbestuivend. Zeer makkelijk te telen met normale snoei.
